About
Welcome to 1910 La Mexicana, a hidden gem nestled in the heart of North York at 938 Wilson Ave. Renowned for its authentic Mexican flavors, this restaurant is quickly making a name for itself among taco aficionados and casual diners alike.
As I walked through the doors, I was greeted by a warm, inviting atmosphere. The restaurant's cleanliness and cozy ambience perfectly set the stage for a memorable dining experience. It's no surprise that customers like Louanne Cert have deemed it their go-to spot for tacos, raving about the generous portions and top-notch service.
The menu showcases a variety of mouth-watering options. From the delicious Barbacoa—slow-cooked shredded beef bursting with spices—to the succulent Pastor and fried fish tacos, each dish is crafted with real meat that reflects true Mexican culinary traditions. Nya Villanueva's review highlights the Cecina as a must-try, showcasing the burst of flavors that keep patrons coming back for more.
A standout feature at 1910 La Mexicana is the emphasis on fresh ingredients. Each protein is served on double tortillas, complimented by an array of condiments that elevate the overall experience. While the mangonada served at the restaurant adds a refreshing touch, it’s the perfect concoction of flavor that you will relish, albeit with a hint of sweetness that balances its mango base wonderfully.
For those considering a hearty feast, the option to order a 1kg platter of al pastor with tortillas might be your best bet. Nickey H found it to be the perfect shareable meal for four, exemplifying the great value 1910 La Mexicana provides.
Most importantly, it’s the kindness and hospitality from the staff that elevate your dining experience. Customers note how attentive the service is, ensuring every meal is enjoyable. As I reflect on my visit, it's a place not just to satisfy your cravings but to indulge in a complete dining experience characterized by friendly faces and delicious plates.
So, if you find yourself in North York, make your way to 1910 La Mexicana. Here, authentic flavors meet a welcoming environment that will undoubtedly satisfy your taco cravings.

“ These have to be the best tacos hands-down that I’ve had in a really long time. This is authentic Mexican Food made with real meat and portions are amazing!! Wonderful service, nice atmosphere it’s very clean and the prices are reasonable. We are very happy that we found this place. It’s going be our regular go to place from now on! ”
“ Didn’t realize this place existed around North York. Scorching sunday evening and I crave for tacos. Ordered the Cecina, Pastor, Fish and Barbacoa for fillings. All those meat are so flavourful. But I love the barbacoa the most. Perfect shredded slow cooked beef with all the right spices. All protein is served on a double fresh tortillas, plus all the condiments to go with it. I also tried their mangonada well, the mango its not that sweet as i expected, the sugar they put in covers the sweetness of the slushie but its very refreshing to have. Temperature outside on that day was like in early 40’s. We we’re like sweating inside the restaurant as we dine in the lady turned on the AC in the middle of our meal but still didn’t gave us the relief we needed from the heat outside. Anyway we didn’t at all the sweats while eating because we enjoyed every bit of our meal. I believe there’s other location of 1910 La Mexicana downtown. This is my first time to try this restaurant and it was a positive experience, I would love to try their other location too. Hoghly recommend this place if you’re in North York area. ”
“ We ordered the 1kg of meat & tortillas to share and it was a great choice. We chose the al pastor for the meat and it was $65. The amount was perfect for 4 people to feel satisfied comfortably (you can order more tacos on the side if you want to get really full). Everything was delicious for the price point. The service was good and it was a very relaxed environment. There is parking in front as well. We went at around 7pm on a Saturday night and it wasn’t packed, so no wait time. ”
“ Omg!!! Dios mío!!! This is absolutely the best in Toronto My new found love for Mexican cuisine has led me to many different places but hands down this is a must try for all my foodies out there. Small, comfortable, relax vibe and music, excellent service and let’s not even get into the price $$$$ affordable in these hard times. La Mexicana you get my vote. Ohhh and wait almost forgot the best Habiscus drink, the flavour of the flower comes out to play on your taste buds (None of that sugary aftertaste you get from most places) ”
